The Challenge
Everyone having an electric car can join and try to beat
the last Guinness Book Record.
The challenge is to charge the lowest amount of time in total in 8 days, starting at the most northern point of Europe crossing Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain until the most southern point of Europe not using any kind of ferry during the competition – the Paneuropeana is an 100% emission free project.*
The Initiator
After circumnavigating the world four times with his electric car 2012 alone, 2016 with 10 teams, 2022 alone and 2024 as scout of a family (80edays.com – register to join the 5th circumnavigation!) and organising 28 international electric car race events 2013 – 2023 (eco.gp – slalom and 24h race weekends), the several world records holder Rafael de Mestre is now adding a third format to his event series for people wanting to cross and enjoy whole Europe.

Rules
One team can consist of one to four drivers. Mininum one of the drivers has to be in the car for the whole trip. Guests, press or youtubers are allowed to enter and leave participant cars anytime.
At its first edition the naming fee will be 20 Euros per person.
The fee for the organisation and the party at the finish line is 250 Euro. Everyone can book the discount hotels or the hotels they want on the way.
Everyone who beats the actual record will be awarded by 1000 Euros, the one who will be the breaker of the world record, will win the title instead of the money, so everyone can be a winner!
10 Teams needed to start, join and make the project possible!
The first edition will start at Nordkapp 20. or 21. September 2026 to have the best chance to see nothern lights. Finish date will be 27. or 28.9.2026.

* We know that there are more and more electric ferries but to be able to compare the record with the former records we exclude ferries even if they are electric. Imagine some day someone will take an electric ferry in Norway and will ship the car to Tarifa not charging at all. You are welcome to come to the event in an electric ferry but from start to finish it won’t be allowed for participants to be transported by any kind of media. Participants must drive the whole trip on their own wheels.
